On the morning of November 28, 2025, the rising sun adorned the flagpole area of Yuantian Company with a solemn golden hue. As the national anthem played, the five-star red flag was raised, and all employees, dressed in neat uniforms, stood attentively in salute. Under the national flag, a safety seminar and practical training themed “Strengthening the Safety Defense to Support Production Development” infused this morning with a sense of responsibility and strength.

After the flag-raising ceremony, General Manager Li Jiye delivered the opening speech. With a serious demeanor and firm tone, he emphasized, “Safety production is the lifeline of the enterprise; the safety of each employee is the greatest asset of the company.” He urged all employees to integrate safety awareness into every detail of their daily operations. The production department head clarified safety responsibilities for each position based on practical production processes, including workflow standards and equipment inspections. Yang Shuwen, the safety supervisor from the village committee, explained fire regulations in simple terms, addressing often-overlooked fire hazards in production, ensuring that the safety concept resonates deeply.

Following the theoretical presentation, practical training commenced, the most anticipated part for employees. Liu Ruwei, deputy captain of the Lishui Town Fire Brigade, and his team demonstrated hands-on operations. The use of fire hoses follows a three-step method: first, lay the hose flat to avoid twists and knots; second, align the connectors with the hydrant and nozzle, tightening clockwise to ensure a seal; finally, slowly open the valve and adjust the water pressure according to the fire situation.

For fire extinguishers, remember the four steps: lift, pull, aim, and squeeze. Quickly carry the extinguisher to the fire, remove the safety seal and pin, observe the wind direction, stand two meters away from the fire, hold the nozzle at the base of the flames, and squeeze the handle for a steady spray.

As soon as the demonstration ended, employees eagerly stepped forward to practice, maintaining an orderly yet enthusiastic atmosphere. Some employees took a bit longer to connect hoses, while nearby colleagues offered gentle reminders on techniques. Others needed corrections on their extinguisher handling, which Liu Ruwei promptly provided. From the earnest attempts of younger employees to the skilled maneuvers of veterans, each action reflected a deep respect for fire safety.
