The event concluded successfully on July 10, 2026, in the summer of Lingnan, where the fragrance of ink filled the air. Co-hosted by the Lishui Town Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, the Lishui Town Publicity, Culture, Tourism, and Education Office, and Yuantian Mattress Machinery, the “A Flourishing Era for Calligraphy” — the finals and award ceremony of the Third Youth (Yuantian Cup) Calligraphy Competition took place at Yuantian’s Calligraphy Academy. Nearly a hundred young calligraphy enthusiasts from local schools and communities gathered to showcase their talents and celebrate traditional culture.

**A Gathering of Talents and Creativity**

By 8 AM, Yuantian Calligraphy Academy was bustling with activity. The 18 finalists for the first, second, and third prizes arrived early to sign in, full of energy and confidence, preparing for the upcoming finals. Meanwhile, 30 outstanding award recipients also arrived for a specially arranged museum visit.

At 9 AM, the finals officially began. The 18 contestants sat at their desks, focused and ready to write. The competition theme emphasized truth, goodness, and beauty, promoting traditional Chinese culture. Contestants created their works on four-foot vertical banners (34.5cm × 138cm), showcasing various styles, from regular script to running script. The atmosphere was rich with artistic expression.

At 9:30 AM, the 30 outstanding award recipients visited the Sleep Culture Museum, located at No. 12 Buxin Avenue, Lishui Town. The museum houses a collection of bedding artifacts from around the world, illustrating the fascinating history of human sleep. Students expanded their horizons and experienced the blend of traditional culture with modern life. They returned to the finals venue by 10:30 AM to join the award ceremony.

**Fair and Just Judging by Experts**

After the finals, judges evaluated the 18 works based on various criteria, ultimately awarding 3 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 10 third prizes.

At 10:30 AM, the award ceremony commenced in the multi-functional training room of Yuantian Calligraphy Academy. The host, Lv Xiang, announced the start of the ceremony. Attendees included local leaders and guests, such as Zhang Shunqian, Executive Deputy Director of the Nanhai District Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, and Li Jiye, General Manager of Yuantian Mattress Machinery.

Representatives from the organizing committee delivered speeches, emphasizing the importance of youth in the future of the nation and the responsibility to preserve traditional culture. They encouraged participants to continue their passion for calligraphy and cultural heritage.

**A Grand Award Ceremony**

The award presentation heightened the excitement of the event. The outstanding awards were presented first, followed by the third, second, and finally, the first prizes, awarded by prominent figures.

**Acknowledging the Dedication of Mentors**

After the students received their awards, a special recognition segment for guiding teachers was added, honoring their hard work and professional guidance.

The “Yuantian Cup” Calligraphy Competition received enthusiastic participation from local youth, reflecting their love for traditional culture and patriotism.
